Lessons in Uncivil Conduct, or Candidate Kids

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's celebration and are knuckled down to keeping your resolutions. Our family had some wonderful times, but we were glad to get the children back in school and back in our own work routines. You can only play hopscotch, Old Maid, Chutes and Ladders, Monopoly, CandyLand, go to Chuckie Cheese and the Bounce House so many time. My bones and mind get tired easily!

This post is really about our candidates running amuck across this country! Is it any wonder why we are all shaking our heads, as if we were bobble head dolls? I cannot imagine a worse scenario, except for actual fist-a-cuffs, than what we have been seeing in this POTUS race. Hillary hates Obama, Obama hates Hillary, Gulli hates everyone, but the folks in Florida. John Edwards is the everyman and John McCain is the man at the top of the mountain. A good man in many ways for the President in the Oval Office. We need someone to have a strong resolve for the American people and see to the welfare of this country, and renewing our good will in other countries. Taking care of Americans should be his first and foremost actions.

I wish our candidates would have more love and kindness in their hearts for each other and for this country, than to make this a mudslinging contest. I hope they will be more dignified in the future. This is for the office of the President of the United States, not for tickets to a Monster Truck Rally, or a Jay-Z, or Hannah Montana concert. I say to them, act your age and show your manners, as your parents taught you. We need a strong president in this country, not a snot-nose, ego-maniac, hot-tempered, knee-jerk reaction person. Once again, John McCain fills the bill. He has a temper and has been a maverick, but I like that when it is needed. I liked Fred Thompson for the same reason. I am sorry he dropped out of the race but I understand his situation. No sense in denying the obvious, it was not his time. I like Mitt Romney very much as well.

Please spread the love and kindness in your life as bread on the waters.

May God bless you all with his peace and loving kindness and mercy!

Hugs, GA Peach
